A gigantic counterintelligence coup could be just one deal away
Trump should put a bounty on records and archives of Venezuela's and Cuba's intelligence services
The Trump administration is potentially just a solid deal away from making one of the greatest counterintelligence coups in modern history.
At stake: The records and archives of the Venezuelan and especially the Cuban intelligence services.
The best stuff is with the Cuban spy service and the personal records of memos and reports to the late Fidel Castro.
Trump should place a bounty on them. Or cut a deal to buy them outright. Before the Chinese or others do.
Cuba’s Dirección de Inteligencia (DI) or Intelligence Directorate, formerly known as DGI, has excelled at human intelligence, political warfare, psychological warfare, subversion, and support for terrorism and insurgency.
It has been a hard target for the United States.
If Trump can buy out some of its leaders and its records, it will be able to detect, expose, and arrest hundreds - maybe thousands - of Cuban agents and controlled assets in the United States.
People like Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, for example.
And the US can neutralize others worldwide.
This priceless knowledge is worth billions of dollars to the United States.
The Cuban regime is going to collapse soon. Its officials will be looking for a golden parachute.
By acquiring Cuba’s spy service records, and turning some of the Cuban intelligence officials most knowledgeable of them, the United States would score a historic counterintelligence coup.
Cuba’s intelligence service is as fine as its tobacco and rum. For more than a half century, it has punched far above its weight.
The DI ranks only with the old East German Stasi for outwitting the CIA and FBI. Every agent we sent to penetrate the DGI and Stasi ended up being doubled back against us. Not even the KGB could match that feat.
Since the 1960s, Cuban intelligence has aggressively and successfully compromised and recruited people in politics, business, academia, journalism, culture, Hollywood, finance, public policy, diplomacy, the military, and intelligence.
Time to root them all out.
Trump will really shake up the Deep Staters with this idea. Quite a few of them will be exposed.
